The Cobb County Soil & Water Conservation District is a government entity operating on the local level to draw upon and manage state, federal, and private sector conservation resources. The District Board addresses a range of issues, from water quality to flood control to wildlife shelter and more. Like each of the 40 Soil & Water Conservation Districts in Georgia, the Cobb Soil & Water Conservation District has a governing Board. Board members are volunteers who come from both the public and private sectors. The Board works closely with Cobb County landowners, government and business leaders, teachers and students, and others interested in conservation programs.
